WOW, WHAT A BEAUTY!
Crafted by Navajo artisan Mary Dayea, this vintage scalloped sterling silver cuff features some interesting stampwork and texturing as well as boasting a beautiful geometric faceted stone of bright blue turquoise with strong matrix. Very cool piece!
Mary Dayea (Navajo). Active since 1930s. Fabricated; cast work; set stones; silver, gold. Inlay; knife wing motifs. Inlay, shell inlay. Worked for Tobe Turpen’s Indian Trading Company (some work done in collaboration with others working at Tobe Turpen). Wife of Tom Burnsides.
